Happy New Year 2019

Six years have gone by.  We still miss our sweet Delainey Belle so very much.  My daughter and Son-in-law have been fostering from 2013 through 2018.  They now have a 2 year old foster boy that they've had since he was  3 days old, right out of the hospital.  They are in the process of adopting him.  The JOY he brings is indescribable!  We love him so much!  We just had a wonderful 3rd Christmas with him, his first one when he was 2 weeks old.  God has been so good to us.  I thank him daily for sending this sweet little boy into our lives to love and care for.

GOOD EVENING,

It's almost a year since I started this blog.  So much has happened.

First, my little granddaughter, Delainey Belle, went home to Jesus on October 16, 2012.  She was 23 months and 1 day old.  My first post tells about her being born with Trisomy 18.  Needless, to say my heart is aching.  She was such a JOY!  She is forever in my heart.

We've been in our current home 6.5 years now.  Still so much to do, and it's a new house.  But, I mistakenly moved everything with us and now have the daunting task of going through a multitude of boxes!!!  I tried to do 40 boxes in 40 days (for Lent), but that got interrupted after 6 days with a vacation trip to Tuscon, AZ.  Did I come back and jump right in again?  NO!  But, I am determined to declutter and simplify my home this year!

So looking forward to gardening this Spring and Summer.  Going to start a little garden for my sweet Delainey.  It will be in the southeast corner of our backyard where this is already a Japanese Maple tree and about 4-5 hydrangea bushes.  I will take pictures and post as it progresses.

Please leave comments if you wish.  I would like to hear from you.

Hello!

This is my first blog, so bear with me.  I don't know exactly what I'm doing yet.  But thought I would give it a try.  I have lots to communicate.  I'm very involved with my Granddaughter, Delainey Belle.  She has Trisomy 18, a genetic disorder where she has an extra 18th chromosome in every cell of her body.  This condition causes all kinds of birth defects.  She specifically has 2 heart defects, pulmonary hypertension and gastro/intestinal problems.  She is very slow developing.  However, she 16.5 months old now.  She is a Miracle.

More later.  Just getting started.
